Ivy Ford and the Band


Ivy Ford and Band, is up-and-coming as one of the top prolific blues bands in the Lake County area. Bringing blues standards such as “Down Home Blues” and “Sweet Home Chicago,” they never fail to play a high-energy and entertaining show of the American nostalgic genre.
The band serves up “jump” and classic Chicago-style blues that electrifies any audience, making them want to get up off their feet and have a good time. Influences such as the great Muddy Waters, Junior Wells, Etta James, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, and more, are who inspire and drive the sound of Ivy Ford and the Band. 


Ivy Ford and the Band perform at an array of venues, including outdoor events like the annual “Bourbon Taste and Blues Fest” at The Vine in Grayslake, Illinois, where they headlined in 2013, and also “Scoop Waukegan” a vintage car show in downtown Waukegan. In addition, the band plays private events like “Casino Night-Lake Villa PTO fundraiser” in April of 2014. They have also become an on-call party band for birthdays and more at Greentown Tavern in Waukegan.

Jay Stephen

Having moved to Waukegan in 1996 Jay immediately fell in love with the city and its growing Arts, Theatre District and beautiful Lakefront. Later Producing his own short film Desitno shot on location in Waukegan, he then decided to go back to his roots of the Lens and settle in his career as a Photographer. He currently works for a large Catalog company in Waukegan doing Photography, Multimedia and publishing for a Learning management system. Jay’s photos can be seen with most of the photos of the last decade used for the City’s Parking Stickers and utilizing his skills to promote the City of Waukegan by capturing events where he has made his Home.
